There are several ways you can raise money for Butterflies Memory Loss Support Group and every amount makes a difference.
In May 2022 The Hull FC Ex Players Association set off on a bike ride from the MKM stadium heading to St Helens to raise funds for us. They aimed to raise about £5000; they blew that target out of the water when they presented us with a cheque for an amazing £15,000!!!
Hull Ladies Choir chose us as their charity of the year for 2023 and raised a brilliant £1000.
The Knitwits based at St Columba’s Church raised £30.15 from sales of their knitted butterfly key rings.
Helping Hands of Beverley donated £720 after their month of fundraising.
The Matthew Good Foundation has been a regular supporter of the Butterflies and chose us again as their charity of the month in January this year. awarding us £500.
Every donation, large or small is so valuable to us, so a MASSIVE THANK YOU from all of us at Butterflies.
How will your money help?
£30 will pay for a day trip for one person. Memory loss can create a huge sense of isolation for both the patient and their carers. Butterflies Memory Loss Support Group provides stimulating and fun social activities that can provide a renewed sense of belonging and offer a degree of normality.
£12 will provide a memory book. Our dedicated volunteers work with our members and their families to create a memory book that can be cherished by the whole family for years to come. Each book carries its own individualities that can stimulate memories and capture time spent together. The books are developed by each family and the journey of completing each page is filed with laughter and smiles.
£5 will pay for simple activity session with a volunteer.
